O’Malley cites Mayor Frank Jackson’s experience, judgement, and trusted leadership
Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley has endorsed Frank Jackson’s re-election campaign for Mayor of Cleveland.
“I’m endorsing Mayor Jackson because he’s clearly the best person to continue leading Cleveland forward,” said Prosecutor O’Malley. “He’s proven that he has the experience, judgement and commitment to our residents that we need. Mayor Jackson has gotten real results in every neighborhood, and on the things that matter most to Clevelanders, like public safety. He’s hired hundreds of new police officers and enacted smart policies that try to tackle the roots of crime. Our city has already come so far under Mayor Jackson, and I know he will continue to build on this progress in his next term. There’s no question: after serving 7 years with both Mayor Jackson and Councilman Reed on city council, there is no question Cleveland is in safe hands with Frank Jackson in the mayor’s office. That’s why he’s got my endorsement.”
Prosecutor O’Malley previously served on Cleveland City Council representing the Old Brooklyn neighborhood and has held several positions serving the public in the region.
“I appreciate Prosecutor O’Malley’s endorsement,” said Mayor Jackson. “Having served together when we were both on City Council, I know that he and I share a commitment to building a safer and stronger Cleveland for all of our residents.”
